OK... a little self-promotion, so? DeadShow is a heavy-groove metal/surf rock band currently pushing through some pretty awesome material. If you find yourself tapping your toes to Rob Zombie, Powerman5000, The Bomboras... you may just like this music. The first single is titled "American Zombie" and is an up-beat catchy little number sure to have you chomping on brains before you know it! Shown here is some artwork to promote the band and the song, drawn by Peter Elasigue and colourized by yours truly... anti-chris.

It's FanExpo time again!

August 25th - 28th, 2011 the place to be will be the Metro Toronto Convention Centre! If you haven't experienced Fan Expo, it is an exercise in retailing punctuated by amazing day and night events. Celebrity autograph booths line the hall giving you an opportunity to meet your favourite hero or villain. But be prepared. Come with cash! More cash than you probably think you need because the ATMs are a nightmare. Don't come hungry. Food is expensive, shitty and the line ups are silly. Wear your patience hat because you will be bumped like a pinball machine. Have your camera ready... costumers, artists and awe inspiring booths from large manufacturers. It is a great time and I highly recommend a visit, even if just for one day!

A LARPing we will go...

OK, I admit it... I am a LARPer. I like to roleplay as an elite soldier from the U.S. Army Rangers. I have a team. Well, actually, to be honest, I started the team a long time ago, and continue to lead my men into simulated battles, which are getting more and more complex and realistic (the last game I was at had a helicopter performing roof top player insertions!). Anyway, thought I would show a few pictures from our recent team training at our top secret field called Harm's Way in Peterborough. Forever a nerd!

Niagara Falls

For those of you who have not taken the time to enjoy the kitschy goodness of Clifton Hill and Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls, you don't know what you're missing! Must see attractions include Ripley's Believe It or Not and pretty much any of the wax museums, of which there are many (Hollywood icons, Crime figures, Madamme's...), along with Nightmares. Finish your day off with a toilet flavoured Whopper from the coolest Burger King on the planet.
